It is for freedom that Christ has set us free”! My dear friend, Bruce Weatherly, has written Wholeness out of a life that has been touched by and devoted to the reality of the Spirit of God in him. While Bruce has his favorite passages for this teaching of Oneness with God through the Spirit, possibly the great strength of this book is how he shows that these beautiful truths of the New Covenant are found all through the scriptures. The New Covenant reality of the indwelling Spirit was for David, Moses, Paul and is for you and for me. God has always desired this intimacy and he has always brought it about by his very Spirit. While this is a teaching that we need more of, it is far from something new. You could say that the experience of the teaching found in this book is as old as the Spirit of God breathing life into man. The newness of what Christ does in the New Covenant is to destroy the barrier of sin that creates a distance when God has always desired our “oneness”. This is a book worth your time. Bruce’s heart through this work is that you will grow in this oneness with God.
